I would ADORE to see a hedgehog on a banknote!!

Lovely idea, USA banknotes only have Presidents on them, not nearly as colorful!

I was also thinking about which species should go on which note because if we put rare and endangered on a £50, then we’re not going to see them very often or at all. 🤔 Anyway, I’d love to see the Pigeon on a note, I know they’re not often forgot about, who can forget about flocks of them in every town and city, but they are often vilified as “flying rats” or “vermin” when they actually played a important role in our history and were once domesticated.

well, I have discovered I can't comment with a photo ... but I have some gorgeous images of a young woman feeding pigeons in Oxford - and her delight ... yes, most people fail to give them the love they are due!

That’s so lovely. I have a photo of my dad doing the same, there’s pigeons all over and around him and he looks so content and happy. It’s a photo I’ll always treasure.

Strangely enough I designed a banknote design for the Guernsey banknote competition along with 10 other channel island related designs , I didn't win :-( Dont think I can share it here by the look of things.

maybe you could share that with the Bank of England??
